I'm going with a good mixer with on-board effects, like the Yamaha, Mackie, etc., less equipment to lug around, etc. Guess I'm gonna sell off my old stuff and join the 21st century. I tore down my rig last night because I was thinking that I was loving my old equipment maybe a little too much, which was clouding my ears. Lexicon makes so good quality components and it will certainly perform far better than anything you could have purchased from VocoPro. Personally I'd prefer it to have a full display but hey for the price it's not a bad choice. The MX200 you bought is a solid unit too. The Yamaha SPX-90 is a classic that has got a lot of great options. Lexicon make some great units, I love the TC Electronics M-One and D-Two units. However in other settings (and even for Karaoke before I got the digital board) I've used plenty of outboard processors. Currently I use the pair of effects processors that are built into the Yamaha 01V for Karaoke. ![]()
